Seinabo Sey, Amanda Bergman & Sunnan to share a joint evening in Slakthusområdet, Stockholm this summer

Children sometimes reason with an uncompromising kind of logic: good plus good should reasonably become even better. Put one favorite on top of another and the result must be twice as good. In reality, it’s not quite that simple. Flavors can compete, expressions can cancel each other out, and what was strong on its own can disappear in the whole. But sometimes the opposite happens. When the ingredients are carefully chosen and fully capable of carrying their own weight, something else can emerge—a night where the whole suddenly becomes greater than the sum of its parts. Such a night awaits on July 2 at Förbindelsehallen in Slakthusområdet, Stockholm.

Seinabo Sey, Amanda Bergman, and Sunnan are in many ways far apart musically. But their artistry shares more than what separates them: sincerity, soulfulness, and that hard-to-define feeling that every note is absolutely necessary.

When Seinabo Sey broke through with “Younger” and “Hard Time,” it was an already fully formed artist taking command of the space—in Sweden as well as internationally. The deep, soulful tone carried both power and vulnerability, a presence that felt as natural as it was rare. But it soon became clear that her artistry was not meant for the simple logic of pop. Seinabo has always followed a different compass, and in her latest incarnation she turns to her mother tongue. On the newly released album “Welcome Home” (Välkommen hem), her most poetic and personal work to date, she sings exclusively in Swedish for the first time, and this time her own vision permeates every detail.

Amanda Bergman has long been one of Sweden’s most distinctive and vital artists. As a central figure in Amason and through her solo projects, she has in many ways defined the alternative Nordic pop landscape for over a decade. And at the center is always the voice—one of the very best we have. A voice that manages to be empathetic, vulnerable, comforting, and infinitely strong all at once. Earlier this year, Amanda released the album “embraced for a second as we die,” where she once again takes on the big questions by exploring the smallness of everyday life. It is a spiritual, free, and deeply affecting record about the difficult-to-grasp mixture of euphoria and despair that comes with simply being alive right now.

Sunnan represents a different kind of sensibility: a cinematic form of warm, organic soul meeting Morricone-like soundscapes. Their music moves between dusty western whistles, soft grooves, and soulful melodies that feel both timeless and strikingly contemporary. The band describes their aesthetic as neo-nostalgia—a way of letting the past color the present without getting stuck in it. Their debut album “Cinema” quickly placed them among the country’s most interesting new acts, followed by the EP “Cinema Sound System,” where soul, psychedelia, and cinematic moods are woven into something that at times feels more like a soundtrack to an as-yet-unwritten film than a traditional pop record. And like all good stories, it’s clear this is only the beginning.

Three different worlds. Three separate concerts. The same evening, the same room. The rest, the music will take care of.
