Perturbator is playing at Fållan in November! James "Perturbator" Kent has been a driving force in the dark synthwave genre since 2012, where he combines retro electronic sounds with influences from post-punk, goth, and techno. On November 21st, he returns to Stockholm!
With albums like Dangerous Days (2014) and The Uncanny Valley (2016), he has established himself as a visionary artist who dares to push the boundaries of the genre. His music is known for being both brutally intense and hypnotically atmospheric.
Kent has developed a unique sound that explores the darker sides of humanity, which became evident in albums like New Model (2017) and Lustful Sacraments (2021). Themes such as self-destruction, addiction, and chronic dissatisfaction run through the works, where gothic and industrial influences meet precise electronic textures.
With his upcoming album Age of Aquarius, set to release in 2025, he marks a new milestone in his career. The album mixes eerie melodies, relentless rhythms, and sharp guitar riffs in a sound that both celebrates and challenges his musical roots.
Along with the new album comes a major European tour, with the artist Gost and the band Kaelan Mikla as supporting acts and special guests. 2025 will not only be the year when Perturbator continues to impress – it will be the year he once again reshapes how we view electronic music and its future.
This concert is organized by FKP Scorpio.
