Somewhere at the intersection of synthpop, new wave, and post-punk, we find the Belarusian sensation Molchat Doma. And the somewhat improbable story of how an uncompromising band with solid gothic credibility became a viral TikTok phenomenon with the hypnotic 'Судно (Sudno)', used in hundreds of thousands of videos, is now well known. The dust has long since settled, and what remains is a trio from Minsk that continues to play their dystopian music filled with chilly atmospheres, introspective lyrics about life in a post-Soviet homeland, and danceable hooks.
After the significant attention garnered by the 2018 album 'Этажи', there was concern that the band would abandon their musical ideals – a concern that proved to be completely unfounded as the 2020 follow-up 'Monument' was just as dark and gloomily lovable as its predecessor. Since then, Molchat Doma has toured around the world and became, among other achievements, the first Russian-speaking act to play at Coachella.
The concert is organized by Luger.
