After 25 years as one of the most influential bands in modern metal, Killswitch Engage is finally returning to Sweden. On Saturday, November 29, 2025, they will take the stage at Fållan in Stockholm for a long-awaited night of heavy energy, roaring crowds, and songs that have defined an entire genre.

Killswitch Engage, hailing from western Massachusetts, has carved out a unique space in the metal sphere since the late ’90s—beloved equally by headbangers, hardcore fans, and the broader rock audience. With technically precise riffing, melodic choruses, and an exceptional live energy, the band has grown into a global phenomenon.

Their breakthrough came with Alive Or Just Breathing (2002), now listed as one of the 100 greatest metal albums of all time by Decibel. Since then, they’ve released nine studio albums—several of which have reached the top 10 on the Billboard charts—and earned three Grammy nominations for Best Metal Performance. Classics like The End of Heartache and As Daylight Dies have both gone platinum and become milestones for an entire generation of metal fans.

The band’s latest album, This Consequence (2024), is a concentrated dose of everything that makes Killswitch Engage unique—brutal, melodic, and uncompromising, with a new creative focus. The lyrics touch on themes like depression, breakups, social criticism, and inner healing, and the first single Forever Aligned shows a band that still has everything to prove—and nothing to lose.

Members Adam Dutkiewicz (guitar), Joel Stroetzel (guitar), Mike D’Antonio (bass), Justin Foley (drums), and Jesse Leach (vocals) are known for their dynamic stage presence and have previously shared the stage with everyone from Iron Maiden and Slayer to My Chemical Romance and Rise Against.
