Kamelot

The international symphonic metal legends Kamelot, known for their catchy melodies, cinematic storytelling, and electrifying live performances, are coming to Sweden in March 2027 as part of their Dark Asylum World Tour. The tour is built around the band’s latest album, Dark Asylum, released on August 28, 2026, via Napalm Records. It is their fourteenth studio album in a career spanning more than three decades. Joining them as support will be none other than Swedish band Cyhra.

With their melodic, progressive metal, American band Kamelot have carved out a unique place for themselves in the vast world of heavy music since releasing their debut album in 1995. For us Swedes, there is an extra special connection to the band, as Swedish singer Tommy Karevik has been the vocalist of Kamelot since 2012.

The album Dark Asylum is set in a dark world during the Victorian era and takes listeners inside the walls of RavenHill Asylum, a facility that was once built as a magnificent cathedral but now houses a place where science, faith, and madness coexist side by side in a fragile balance. Through the glow of candlelight, towering arches, and cold stone corridors, the album explores the fracturing of identity and the bending of reality, as its protagonist is forced through a psychological darkness on a journey toward transformation—and perhaps sanctuary.

Always eager to let their musical worlds live beyond the studio, Kamelot are now taking RavenHill Asylum on the road with the immersive Dark Asylum World Tour.

Cyhra, formed in 2016 by veterans such as Jesper Strömblad (The Halo Effect/ex-In Flames) and vocalist Jake E. (ex-Amaranthe), are releasing their latest album, Requiem for a Pipe Dream, this year. Through their acclaimed previous releases, they have established themselves as one of the most prominent bands on the modern metal scene. Combining melodic metal with powerful songs and outstanding musicianship, Cyhra are a formidable metal act that should be experienced live.
