Cat Power

Cat Power marks the 20th anniversary of her acclaimed album The Greatest with Redux — a new EP set for digital and 10-inch vinyl release on January 23, 2026, via Domino Recording Company.

Recorded together with GRAMMY® Award–winning producer Stuart Sikes and the supergroup Dirty Delta Blues, Redux includes three new recordings: a powerful version of James Brown’s classic “Try Me,” an emotional rendition of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” dedicated to the late guitarist Teenie Hodges, and a newly recorded version of Cat Power’s own “Could We.”

When The Greatest was released in 2006, it became a milestone in Cat Power’s career — a warm and soulful album recorded in Memphis that received worldwide acclaim. The record reached number 34 on the Billboard 200, won the prestigious Shortlist Music Prize (the first album by a female artist to do so), and was named by Rolling Stone as one of the best albums of the 2000s.

The anniversary will also be celebrated with an international tour where The Greatest will be performed in full. The tour kicks off on February 12, 2026, in Houston, Texas, and continues through North America, Europe, and the UK until November — including a stop at Fållan in Stockholm on October 9.
