The Swedish metal band Avatar, known for their unique stage performances and powerful music, are returning to Stockholm for a show at Fållan on February 5, 2026. With a career spanning over two decades and nine studio albums, the band has established itself as one of the most unique acts in modern metal.
Avatar was formed in Mölndal in 2001 and consists of Johannes Eckerström (vocals), Jonas Jarlsby (guitar), Tim Öhrström (guitar), Henrik Sandelin (bass), and John Alfredsson (drums). The band broke through internationally with the album Black Waltz (2012) and has since released several critically acclaimed albums, including Hail the Apocalypse (2014), Feathers & Flesh (2016), Avatar Country (2018), Hunter Gatherer (2020), and the latest, Dance Devil Dance (2023).
Known for their unique blend of heavy metal and visually stunning stage shows, Avatar has toured the world and played at some of the biggest festivals. Their live performances are often described as a "metal circus," where music and theater merge into an unforgettable experience.
