Anna von Hausswolff is back with a new album and tour. On October 31, her highly anticipated album ICONOCLASTS will be released – and in December, six shows in Scandinavia await.
In Anna von Hausswolff’s artistry lies a creativity that is both unpredictable and boundless. With the pipe organ as her instrument of choice, she has long explored the ethereal qualities of breath in her sound: inhaling, holding, and letting go. Sometimes this takes the form of apocalyptic rock songs, other times more intimate organ pieces.
On the new album ICONOCLASTS, Anna von Hausswolff has once again evolved her sound – the darkness, heaviness, primal energy, and experimental edge remain, but are now mixed with new, brighter, and more unexpected dimensions.
Produced by von Hausswolff herself together with longtime collaborator Filip Leyman, ICONOCLASTS marks a new chapter in von Hausswolff’s musical journey. The album features guest appearances by Ethel Cain, Abul Mogard, Iggy Pop, and Maria von Hausswolff. The first previews are already out – the singles Stardust and The Whole Woman, the latter a powerful duet with Iggy Pop.
Gothenburg-based Anna von Hausswolff broke through in 2012 with the album Ceremony, the follow-up to her debut Singing from the Grave (2010) – an album that laid the foundation for a series of critically acclaimed works. Highlights include Dead Magic (2018) and the organ-based solo work All Thoughts Fly (2020).
Over the course of her career, von Hausswolff has collaborated with prominent artists such as Wolves in the Throne Room, Swans, Sunn O))), and Yann Tiersen, and has made her mark in film, theater, and performance art. Most recently, she was featured in Atlas Song – a praised collaboration between the Gothenburg Opera’s dance company, Anna von Hausswolff, and choreographers Imre and Marne van Opstal.
When Anna von Hausswolff now heads out on tour, she will be joined by five other musicians – Filip Leyman, David Sabel, Otis Sandsjö, Joel Fabiansson, and Love Meyerson. This will be Hausswolff’s first solo tour since 2022. The tour kicks off in December 2025 with six concerts in Scandinavia, followed by dates across the rest of Europe.
The concert is organized by Luger.
